The Junior Group of Goodwill

Founded in 1933, the Junior Group of Goodwill is a volunteer auxiliary for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. Since 1937, the Junior Group has held many fund raising events in support of Goodwill, including horse shows, bridge teas, cookbook sales, theater parties, house tours and golf tournaments.

For more than 70 years, the Junior Group has dedicated its efforts to supporting Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit as it brings independence to individuals with barriers to employment. Both Goodwill and the Junior Group have seen many changes but our core philosophy has remained constant.

The Juniors’ premier event, and current fundraising focus, is the Goodwill Antiques Show. The Show boasts 50 antiques dealers from across the country in addition to the popular “Goodwill Booth” which features refinished furniture, collectibles, gently-used furs, homemade pantry items and a boutique of handcrafted items by local artists.

The success of the Goodwill Antiques Show depends largely on the over 275 active, associate, new, life and honorary members of the Junior Group.
